Wyatt Russell is the Founder and President of AJC. He is a Junior at NC State University double majoring in Physics and Political Science, and minoring in Spanish. He is originally from San Francisco, California, and has lived in the Triangle area for the past 5 years. He plans to attend law school upon graduation from NC State, and obtain get his J.D. in civil rights or human rights. Later in life, he aspires to become an honest politician. Wyatt is deeply interested in the causes of various social and economic issues, as well as their respective solutions. As the founder of AJC, Wyatt seeks to guide the organization to become a research and advocacy powerhouse for social issues within the United States and globally. He has a passion for sailing and being in nature, and for politics as a whole. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and running/working out.
Our Vice President:
Madison Ferrara is the Vice President of AJC. She is a Junior at NC State University studying social work. Madison is a native of Bunn, NC but moved to Raleigh, NC upon being accepted to NCSU and after graduation, she plans to pursue her master’s degree in social work with a concentration in juvenile justice. Besides mentoring, she loves running, painting, and taking care of her plants.
Our Public Relations Director:
Nura Elhentaty is the Public Relations Director of AJC. She is a Junior at NC State University majoring in Criminology and Psychology, and minoring in Political Science and Law & Justice. Nura was born and raised in Raleigh, NC but her family is originally from Alexandria, Egypt. After graduation from NCSU, she plans to get her J.D. in international human rights and travel the world, exploring countries while protecting individuals’ rights to live safe and comfortable lives. She has traveled to 9 countries and plans to visit a lot more in the future. Nura enjoys reading, working with youth, and learning about other cultures and traditions.
Our Lead Researcher:
Yussef Guerrab is the Lead Researcher of AJC. He was born in New York City, NY but his family moved to North Carolina when he was younger, and he has lived most of his life in Raleigh, NC. He is a Junior at North Carolina State University studying Mathematics and Statistics, hoping to pursue a graduate degree in Organizational Behavior. His passions and hobbies lie in helping other people; more specifically, helping people find out more about themselves. In addition, he loves seeking knowledge – whether it be about quantum mechanics, or beta amyloid plaque in the hippocampus, or even about achieving a certain state of mind that one can have consistently – he loves being intellectually challenged.
Carly Corcoran is the Secretary of AJC. She is a Junior at NC State University majoring in History and minoring in Africana Studies. Carly transferred to NCSU from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Fall of 2018. She is a native of Raleigh, NC. Her career goal is to be a high school history teacher. Besides history memes, she loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, superheroes, and theater.
